Gamze Yalçın (Ankara, 1971) has a BSc degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University (1993) and she holds a master’s degree in International Banking and Finance from The University of Birmingham, UK (1998). She also completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP193) in Harvard Business School (2017).
She started her professional career at Turkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. in 1993 and worked in risk management, financial management and business analysis functions of the Bank. Between years 2017-2023, Gamze Yalçın served as Deputy CEO and Sustainability Leader of Isbank. In December 2023, she was appointed as the CEO of Isbank AG, the European arm of Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş.
She also performed Board membership duties in various Isbank Group companies. Between 2019-2024, she served as a Board Member in TSKB A.Ş., development and investment banking arm of Isbank Group. During the years 2018-2022, she served as the Vice Chair and then as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Isbank AG, and between 2018-2020 she held the Chairperson position in İş Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. (Is Investment Trust). Gamze Yalçın also worked as the auditor of the Board of Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. (Şişecam) between years 2008-2010.
In addition to the tasks mentioned above, Gamze Yalçın is the founding partner of the Risk Managers Association of Turkey, where she served as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors between 2014 and 2017. She is also a member of the Arya Women's Investment Platform Challenge Club to support women entrepreneurs. Gamze Yalçın has taken an active role in associations and platforms operating in the fields of integrated reporting, climate governance and sustainable development and represented Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. within the structure of corporate membership in ERTA (Integrated Reporting Turkiye Network) and in BCSD Türkiye (Business and Sustainable Development Council) until April 2024.
In June 2024, Gamze Yalçın was elected as a Board Member to the Association of Foreign Banks in Germany.
Ms Ayşe Doğan, born in 1975, has been a member of the Management Board of İşbank AG since 01 May 2021 and is responsible for the business areas: Risk Management, Money Laundering Prevention, Compliance, Legal, Data Protection, Internal Audit, Human Resources and the Management Board Secretariat.
Ms Doğan started in 2015 as Head of Legal at the head office of İşbank AG in Frankfurt. In the following years, she took over additional business areas as Divisional Head. In September 2018, she was appointed as Deputy CEO. Her expertise includes Assessment of systems to prevent money laundering, terrorism financing and other criminal acts, compliance management systems, management of all material financial and non-financial risks, effectiveness of risk management systems of credit institutions, legal and regulatory requirements, structuring and syndication of credit transactions, refinancing, credit processes, data protection, human resources and corporate governance.
Before joining İşbank AG, Ms Doğan worked at Aareal Bank AG for 11 years. Initially, she worked in the structuring of the lending business with a focus on corporate banking, cross-border and portfolio financing (market). Later, in her capacity as a lawyer, she took on the role of Transaction Advisory (control function). In addition, she supported the management in setting up and structuring the bank's representative office in Istanbul.
Ms Doğan graduated in law from the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and is a fully qualified lawyer. She holds the following additional degrees: Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) - Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Investment and Finance Advisor - European Business School - Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht (EBS), Real Estate M&A Advisor (EBS), Certified Data Protection Officer, Certification for Personality Procedures in Personnel Diagnostics - people analytica, Practitioner in transactional Business & Leadership Coaching & Counseling.
Mr. Emir Serdar Gülpınar (born 1974 in Istanbul) has been a member of the Management Board of İşbank AG since April 1, 2023 and is responsible for the Credit Management, Financial Management, Legal Reporting, Information Technologies, Digital Banking, Corporate Governance and Operations Departments.
Mr. Gülpınar joined İşbank AG as Senior Vice President in 2019, where he was responsible for the Credit Management, Financial Management and Legal Reporting Departments. He was also involved in the development of the company’s business strategy. In 2020, Mr. E. Serdar Gülpınar was promoted to the position of the Authorized Representative, non-executive Management Board Member.
Mr. Gülpınar started his career as an analyst in the project finance department of a holding company in Istanbul. Afterwards he worked at Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. first as an auditor and then as a manager in various departments.
After graduating from İstanbul Erkek Lisesi (1992), Mr. Gülpınar graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business and Economics in English and completed certified trainings in Capital Markets, Innovation and Leadership. Mr. Gülpınar is married with one child and speaks German and English.
